Doubt the Doubts by Akiyuki Ina
April 24, 2009 - May 08, 2009
Artist(s): Akiyuki Ina
Opening Reception: Friday, April 24, 6-8PM
Human beings are creatures whose memories inevitably fade. Our perception of the past changes hour by hour. Digital media alone remains free of deterioration and decay. But, as images and sounds and senses bombard us, how does a person judge what information is truly relevant and essential? How do we know if what we have perceived is even real? This show will ask you to judge your initial perceptions and then doubt your newfound reality.
Akiyuki Ina was born in 1982 in Japan. He graduated with a BFA from Tokyo University of the Arts. He currently lives and works in New York. His artworks have been exhibited in "Small Works", 80 Washington Square East Galleries, NY (2009), "A.G.A.S.T. Brooklyn", NY (2008), and "Sustainable Art Project", Environmental Process Art, Tokyo (2007). For more information, please go to http://akiyukiina.com
