Contemporary Artist Open Call Program
-ISE NY Art Search 2013-
ISE Cultural Foundation, 501c-3 non-profit organization gallery is looking for artists who are willing to show new and innovative work in New York City, the center of contemporary art world.
Selected works will be shown at ISE Cultural Foundation Gallery located in SOHO area in New York City from July 9 to August 23. 4 awards will be presented at the opening reception on July 12. Award winners will receive a chance to have either solo or group exhibitions at ISE Cultural Foundation Gallery during 2014 season.

Award
• Solo, or group exhibition at ISE Cultural Foundation Gallery in the main gallery, or the front space during 2014 season
• ISE Cultural Foundation Award: 3 artists
• Guest Juror Special Award (Ms. Nancy Lim from MOMA painting and sculpture department): 1 artist
Eligibility
• 18 years and older
Artwork Regulations
• Submit up to 2 artworks.
• Artwork must be completed within 2 years.
• Artwork(s) previously received any award(s) from other open call exhibition is NOT eligible.
2D WORK/ painting, drawing, photograph, etc.
• Maximum size: 5 feet x 5 feet including a frame/ No more than 20 pound
• All artworks must be framed or paneled in professional manner. NO GLASS.
3D WORK/ sculpture, installation, kinetic, etc.
• Maximum size: 5 feet x 5 feet x 5 feet/ No more than 50 pound
• Please send 2 images from 2 different sides per artwork.
• We accept Kinetic work in DVD
Video WORK and others
• We will review the first three minute of each video work
• Please describe a size of artwork, including a size of equipment. Artist must prepare all equipment for work, such as, monitor, speaker, computer, etc.
How to Apply
Please submit the followings by regular mail:
1) Artworks in CD-ROM or in DVD
• Please write your name on CD/DVD.
• Save your images with your name and entry number (01, 02) Example: DavidSmith01.jpg.
2) Entry Form
3) Entry fee $25
• Please pay by Paypal (Click Donate Button below), Check, or Money Order.
• We do not refund the fee.

SELECTED ARTWORK
• Selected artists will be announced on Saturday, June 8 on ISE's website.* ISE Cultural Foundation will not provide any information regarding reasons for selection or exclusion.
• Please send/bring selected artwork with a signed agreement to ISE gallery during the installation term (download from below).
• Please include shipping fee if you can't come to the gallery to pick up your work after the exhibition.
• Selected works will be displayed at ISE Cultural Foundation Gallery in New York from July 9 to August 23, 2013.
Attention
• Artwork must be selected one. No other work will be accepted.
• If artwork doesn't arrive by the deadline, it will NOT be displayed.
• Artists are responsible for all expenses of artwork delivery to and from the gallery.
• ISE's staff will install all artworks.
• The gallery staff will handle artwork with extreme care; however, the artist will waive any claims against the staff if his/her work is damaged.
• All artworks must be framed or paneled in professional manner and ready to install. NO GLASS. Please indicate up and down.
• Please send a description of how to install, if the work needs it.
• If the artwork requires specific pedestal or shelf, artists must prepare for it.
• Your name should be on artwork.
• If ISE Cultural Foundation finds any inappropriate artwork for public or the work that is not followed by the regulation, the work will not be displayed. (Inappropriate work may be artwork containing hazardous materials.)
How to drop-off your work
• Bring your artwork to the gallery directly during the installation term.
• Artist(s) may arrange another person (friend, or family) to drop off/pick up your artwork for you, please email us information of the person(her/his name, contact info.) beforehand.

How to send your work to the gallery
• Send your artwork by mail during the shipping term.
• Shipping packaging must be re-usable for the return shipping, and include re-packing instruction as necessary.
• Please do not use form peanut.
• Send us one of the followings in order to receive your artwork back:
1. USPS Postage
2. UPS, Fedex return level (paid by artist)
3. US$ of a total amount of shipping fee by Paypal. If you send your work from outside of US, calculate the amount of shipping cost to US$, then pay the amount of US$ by Paypal.
• If there is no shipping fee, we will not return your artwork.

How to Pick-up your work
Please come to the gallery to pick up your work during the de-installation term. Any remaining artworks will be discarded after the end of the term.

How to return your work by shipping
It usually takes 2-4 weeks to receive your artwork after the exhibition. Please contact us if you have any questions: ise@iseny.org
