November 30, 2012 – January 05, 2013

Artist: Akira Ikezoe

Opening Reception: Friday, November 30, 6-8PM

ISE Cultural Foundation is pleased to present a solo exhibition “DRAWING” by Akira Ikezoe at the Front Space Gallery.

Artist Statement by Akira Ikezoe:
My drawing is based on my personal and intimate experiences, and it is a consequence of having been influenced by my surroundings as well.
I draw a line on a piece of paper. The line’s color, shape and texture stimulate my mental and physical memories, and remind me of something related to my past experience. Then it makes me decide how to draw the second line, which stimulates my memory again. Through this process, all of my reactions to what I see on the paper, become a reminder of my past. At the same time, it’s a direction towards the future.
